For couples to be married in the Catholic Church at least one party must be a baptised Catholic.

Couples wishing to be married in the Nambucca Valley Parish need to make contact with the parish at least 6 months before the proposed wedding date to arrange a meeting with the priest to discuss the requirements and necessary preparations.

Both parties will need recent copies of both birth and baptismal certificates (even if baptised as an Anglican, Presbyterian etc).

It is a requirement that the couple intending to be married undertake a pre-marriage course.

Pre-marriage courses are currently not held in the Nambucca Valley Parish. The alternative option is to do an online course through SmartLoving (https://smartloving.org/).
